Privacy policy

Effective October 1, 2026

1. Who we are

Razonity LLC (“Razonity”, “we”, “us”) is a software development studio in the United States. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers:

  • Our website, razonity.com, including the contact form.
  • Our applications: software we build and operate, including restateflow, an Instagram messaging application that lets a business respond automatically to comments and direct messages on its own Instagram professional account (the “Services”).

Questions about this policy go to info@razonity.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address and the message you send us.
  • In a conversation with a business using restateflow: anything you choose to type in an Instagram comment or direct message, which may include an email address or phone number if the business asks for one and you provide it.

Information we receive from Meta Platforms

When a business connects its Instagram professional account to restateflow, Meta sends us data about activity on that account through the Instagram API, to the extent the business has authorised and Meta’s own policies allow. This can include:

  • The business account’s Instagram identifier, username and access token.
  • For people who comment on the business’s posts or message it: an Instagram-scoped user identifier, a username, and the text and time of the comment or message.
  • Delivery and read events for messages the business sends.

We do not receive your Instagram password, your contact list or anything about accounts you have not interacted with.

Information collected automatically

Our website is static and sets no tracking cookies. Our hosting and API providers keep standard server logs (IP address, time, requested URL, user agent) for security and reliability. Our applications record operational logs of the requests they process for the same purpose.

3. How we use information

  • To answer enquiries sent through the contact form.
  • To provide the Services: receiving comments and messages, running the automated replies a business has configured, keeping a record of each conversation so the business can read and continue it, and sending content the business has chosen to send, such as an email with a document you asked for.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse and debug problems.
  • To comply with law and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use data obtained from Meta to build profiles for any purpose other than providing the Services to the business whose account it came from.

4. How information is shared

  • The business you interact with. If you comment on or message a business using restateflow, that business sees your messages and anything you give it. The business is responsible for how it uses that information under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers. Our infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States, which hosts our data and sends email on our behalf. Providers act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes.
  • Meta Platforms. Replies and messages sent through the Services are transmitted to Meta, which delivers them on Instagram under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business, subject to this policy.

5. Retention

Contact form enquiries are delivered to our inbox and are not stored in a database. Conversation records in restateflow are kept for as long as the business using the Services keeps them, and are deleted when the business removes a contact, disconnects its Instagram account, or stops using the Services. Operational logs are kept for a limited period and then expire automatically. Where we are required to keep information longer by law, we do.

6. Your choices and data deletion

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We honour these requests regardless of where you live.

To request deletion, email info@razonity.com with the subject “Data deletion request” and tell us the Instagram username (or the business and approximate date of the conversation) the request concerns. We will confirm receipt, verify that the request is genuine, delete the data within 30 days, and confirm when it is done.

If you interacted with a business through Instagram, you can also remove the application’s access from your Instagram settings under Apps and websites. Doing so stops further data being sent to us but does not by itself delete what was already received; use the email above for that.

Where you have agreed to receive messages from a business, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and opt back in by replying START.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access credentials are held in a managed secrets store, access is limited to the people and systems that need it, and incoming requests from Meta are verified by signature before they are processed. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur.

8. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

We operate from the United States and process information there. If you use the Services from elsewhere, you understand that your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Disclaimer — use at your own risk

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that messages will be delivered, or that automated replies will be appropriate in every situation. You use the website and the Services entirely at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Razonity and its members, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the website or the Services, however caused and under any theory of liability. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website or the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars (US$100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Razonity and its members, officers, employees, contractors and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the website or the Services; (b) content, messages or automated replies you create, configure or send through the Services; (c) your violation of this policy, of Meta’s platform terms, or of any applicable law, including laws governing commercial messaging, consumer protection and privacy; or (d) your violation of the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence of that claim.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on this page, and your continued use of the website or the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
